Football Grants For High School!

There is one organization that offers a variety of opportunities for community groups and schools to receive help with both football and non-football related projects.

This financial aid can come in the form of direct grants or through a more centralized support for programs championed by individual players or teams.

Throughout the off-season and on days off, players and teams are encouraged to give their time and practical assistance to programs designed to improve their community.

A number of formal grants exist!

  • Grants are available to former NFL players currently serving as coaches in high school football programs, and range from $2,500-$10,000.

  • another grant program allows current and former NFL players to apply for up to $4,000 to support free football camps and clinics.

  • Yet another program aims to provide financial and technical assistance to schools and non-profit community groups seeking to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local football fields. The first part of the funding is designed to help with general field support, which includes irrigation, bleacher construction and light installation. The second part of funding is reserved for improvements to field surfaces. (In 2007, this program awarded over $2 million dollars worth of grants for upgrades to field surfaces

  • Individual grants of up to $200,000 are also available!

Individual teams may also offer grants or assistance to schools on a one-time or regular basis. For example, one grant program offers a grant of $3,000 to school players who've organized their own community programs.
